WHICH FUNDING APPLIES TO YOU?

NDIS

Who it’s for
People with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans, whose continence needs are related to a disability and who have relevant consumables funding in their plan.

How it works
If your plan includes continence consumables, you may be able to order Kovered and claim through your usual NDIS process.

Best next step
Check whether your plan includes Core Supports or Consumables for continence-related items.

CAPS

Who it’s for
Australians aged 5 and over with permanent or severe incontinence who are not covered by NDIS.

How it works
CAPS provides an annual payment that can help cover continence product costs.

Best next step
Apply through Services Australia, then use your CAPS payment to purchase products.

Local council rebate

Some councils offer rebates for reusable continence products. Availability varies by location, so check your local council directly.

How claiming works

NDIS

SELF-MANAGED

Order Kovered as usual

Get Your Receipt automaticaly. If you need an itemised invoice, send an email to: info@kovered.com.au, with your order number.

Follow your usual claim or reimbursement process

NDIS

PLAN-MANAGED

Order Kovered as usual

At check-out, choose BANK DEPOSIT as your payment method. Add the information required.

We will send an invoice for you to send to your plan-manager

We will hold your order for 1 week and dispatch once payment is received. After this period, stock may be re-released due to high demand.

Tip: To secure stock faster, you can pay upfront and claim reimbursement through your Plan Manager, follow the same steps as the Self-Managed option.

CAPS

Apply for CAPS through Services Australia

Once approved, you receive an annual payment into your bank account

Order Kovered as usual

No receipts needed — the payment is yours to spend on continence products

LOCAL COUNCIL

Check if your local council provide a rebate for reusable incontinence products

Order Kovered as usual

Get your receipt automatically. If you need an itemised invoice, send an email to: info@kovered.com.au, with your order number

Send the receipt to your local council and follow their rebate process

Kovered cannot confirm or guarantee eligibility.

Each program has its own rules, and it’s your responsibility to confirm before claiming or ordering.

OTHER SUPPORTS

Continence Health Australia

They offer free resources, personalised advice via the National Continence Helpline (1800 33 00 66) and support materials to help people live with more confidence and less embarrassment.

Who it’s for: Anyone managing bladder or bowel control issues, carers, and families alike.
What it covers: Education, helpline support, referral to clinics, and product advice.

National Public Toilet Map

A free mapping tool (web + app) showing more than 22,000 public toilet facilities across Australia, including details on accessibility, showers, adult-change rooms and more. 

Perfect for planning outings when you’re managing leaks.

Who it’s for: People with incontinence, mobility issues, families on-the-go.
What it covers: Locations, accessibility features, opening hours, route information.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use NDIS funding for Kovered?

If your plan includes continence-related consumables, you may be able to use Kovered through your usual NDIS process. Check your plan or speak with your support coordinator or plan manager before ordering.

Can I use CAPS to buy Kovered products?

Yes, many customers use their CAPS payment to buy Kovered products. CAPS is paid to you, and you use that payment toward continence products.

Do you provide itemised tax invoices?

Yes. We can provide itemised tax invoices to support reimbursement or plan-managed payment.

Can you bill my plan manager directly?

If you are plan-managed, contact us or use the invoice/manual payment option so your plan manager can process payment before your order ships.

Can I order first and claim later?

If you are self-managed, many customers order and pay as usual, then submit their invoice through their normal reimbursement process. Always confirm your funding rules first.

What if my NDIS funding is Agency Managed?

Kovered is not currently supplying as an NDIS-registered provider for agency-managed orders, so NDIA direct billing is not available at this stage.

Are all Kovered products covered?

Funding depends on your program rules and individual approval. We can provide product and invoice information, but we cannot guarantee approval.
